We are so excited that this is actually happening! If we uploaded and downloaded everything correctly, you could be listening to us right now!
We are thrilled that you have chosen to join us on this adventure! We really have no idea what we are doing and are learning new things every step along the way, but we are so grateful that we get to do this together and share the Harpootlian life with you.
Our road has not been easy and it doesn’t look like path is getting any less bumpy. We do not always handle the turbulence with grace, but we try to keep our eyes focused on Jesus and let Him shine through our dark places.
The We are Harpo Podcast is first and foremost a way for Kevin and Sarah to connect with each other creatively and work through different things we are going through in our life and family. We use humor to see us through a lot! If you find this encouraging and can learn along side of us, then we count that as a win-win!
Each week we will peek into the Harpootlian household in four different areas. In Kevin’s corner he will share something that has been on his heart. He has said it will usual be something musical. This week he shared an original song called “Big Balloon” and let us in on the inspiration for writing this song.
Sarah’s Space will be a segment for Sarah to talk about different things that she likes to discuss. She has not made a formal commitment to have this segment be about a specific topic. This week she shared about The Emotions’ Survival Guide from the movie Inside Out. She picked a couple up as Christmas presents to help younger family members learn and deal with their emotions in a healthy way.
The Rec Room will be a weekly segment where Kevin and Sarah randomly draw the name of a game or movie that is on their Rec Room shelf. Game nights and movies are a big part of Harpootlian life. It is a great way to relax and build camaraderie with a group of people. This week they discussed the game Telestrations. It’s a party game that combines the old school game of telephone and pictionary. We love this game so much that we are able to set aside our competitive natures and just play without keeping score!
The last segment each week will be Family Matters. We hope to show you why family matters or discuss matters that are happening in our family. This week we shared how we met and married. We also discussed The New Tetris as a part of our dating story. It’s an awesome game that I am sure we will find time to play again . . . some day.
Thanks for listening (and reading). We hope to see you next week!
